Mining BIOS Flash for Diamond RX 580 8GB Graphic card model number RX580D58G

Important Notice!!

Flashing your Graphics Card will void your warranty according to manufacturer website

Software Tools needed:

1.      GPU-Z (Used to check your board for memory type)

2.      ATIWinflash (Used to program the BIOS chip)

Step 1

First you will need to determine which Memory Type is used on your version of the Graphics Card.  You will need to Download and install GPU-Z from 

https://www.techpowerup.com/download/techpowerup-gpu-z/

Step 2

                

Run the GPU-Z application and check Memory Type as shown below:

The image on the right indicates the memory type is Samsung. In this case you will need to download the BIOS file name DiamondRX580_SamsungMining.rom

If the Memory Type is Micron you will need to download the file name DiamondRX580_MicronMining.rom

Step 3

Now you will need to download and install the ATIWinflash application to re flash your BIOS chip.

Step 4

Click on Load image as shown below. Note: the image below shows file name for the Micron and is only shown for demonstration

When ready click on Program as shown above.

Final step - Make sure to wait for the program to prompt the flash has been completed before reboot the system. Also, DO NOT end the program during flash bios and try to close out all background apps to avoid any conflicts.
